Action Plans
An Action Plan is your community’s multi-year workplan: the defensible-space activities you intend to complete, the parcels they target, the costs, and the responsible parties. Firewise USA® reaccreditation requires an updated plan each year.

Creating a new plan
The new-plan form gives you a title, a date range, and a description. Once created, you’ll add line items — each one a specific action tied to a parcel and a budget.

Working a plan
The detail view is where you build the plan out: add line items, attach inspection findings, track invested dollars and volunteer hours against each item, and mark items complete as they get done.

Workflow tips
- Build a new plan from the previous year’s plan as a starting point — most line items repeat year to year.
- Link each line item to the inspection findings that justify it. The generated Firewise packet pulls the linked findings into the appendix automatically.
- Mark line items In Progress the moment work starts so the dashboard’s progress meter is accurate.
The sub-pages in this section break out plans, projects, owner enrollment, and funding in detail.
